Provision of electronic tourism services to the Prefecture of Rodopi

The aim of the project was the development of innovative location-based e-services for citizens and visitors of the area over public wifi hotspots and the internet. The project included software development, hardware procurement and installation, training and support services for the authorities.

The developed platform for the project included 3 subsystems:

1. WebGIS : allows the geo-located presentation through easy to use and adaptable thematic maps that cover the cultural assets of the area
2. Routing: the user has the ability to design the best possible route for his trip whether with a car or on foot.
3. Navigation: the user can navigate through an easy and practical User Interfase
